There’s already been a great response to Maes y Dderwen the new £10.8 million extra care housing scheme currently taking shape in Grosvenor Road Wrexham and the developers behind the scheme are taking part in a drop-in information event this week for people to find out more.

A Flintshire support service has been commended at a major national award which recognises the achievements of organisations and individuals empowering residents to have a great say in services affecting them.

Residents, family members and friends enjoyed strawberries and cream with a glass of bubbly at the Chirk Court Care Home in Chirk last Friday.

Film shows, banners and new displays were unveiled at The Old Court House Café and Community Heritage Hub in Flint Town Centre, celebrating a wide range of activities and work made possible through Heritage Lottery Funding supported by Flintshire County Council.

Pupils from a Flint primary school paid a special visit to a £9.8 million building site in their home town to see how work is progressing and learn about site safety.
